Cherie was born and raised in the small village of Daajing Giids on Haida Gwaii. She has always had a passion for writing and creative expression, often inspired by the peaceful surroundings of her home.

She is a self-published author, releasing her first children’s book in 2019 in collaboration with her brother, Jason who illustrated for the piece. The book is the first in a series entitled Taryn Amelia for which inspiration was drawn from Cherie’s young daughter. Cherie and Jason are working on the second book in the series, set to be released in 2023.

In 2022 Cherie received her certification in another field she is passionate about - Professional Organizing, and helps her clients take back control over unmanageable areas in their homes and work place.
